Dear Friends
Yes, that is right. I will again be playing hockey for a three-hour shift as part of one continuous hockey game called the 11 Day Power Play Community Shift. The game, which will last for 11 straight days at Harborcenter in Buffalo, New York from July 5 -15, 2019, will be played by more than 2,500 hockey players to raise critically-needed funds for important cancer causes.
Donations raised will benefit The 11 Day Power Play, and cutting-edge cancer research and wellness programs at Roswell Park, Camp Good Days and Make-A-Wish Western New York. In the past two years, The 11 Day Power Play has raised nearly $2.5 million for cancer causes in our community.
This year I will be playing again in honor of my mother Marcella Olson. My mom beat Cancer 3 times during her lifetime and showed tremendous courage and determination. As well as playing for my mom, I also have friends and family who have lost their battle with this dreaded disease and I am honored to try to raise awareness and funds to try to find a cure for those still fighting for their lives. Please help us win this fight!

This summer, more than 2,500 pairs of skates will hit the ice to play in the 2019 11 Day Power Play Community Shift to help in the fight against cancer! The 11-day game will be played in continuous shifts at Harborcenter in Buffalo, NY. This important event supports The 11 Day Power Play, raising critically-needed funds for cancer research and wellness programs at Roswell Park, Camp Good Days and Make-A-Wish WNY. While it is physically challenging to play in a marathon hockey game, it's a walk in the park compared to what most endure in their battle against cancer. Cancer is a disease that touches everyone, and The 11 Day Power Play wants to make an impact in our community. In the past two years, The 11 Day Power Play has raised nearly $2.5 million supporting cancer causes in Western New York.
