20 years ago my hockey career began with you by my side, everyday. You were my motivation, my coach, but most importantly my Dad. Not a day goes by that I dont remember the many great memories we had together. Trips out of town for tournaments, breakfast sandwich mornings from the gas station down the street, 6a.m. start times, and you in the stands every game and practice no matter how cold or early it was. Cancer took you away from me but what you taught me and showed me made me who I am today.
This is why I am playing in this event. This is for those who have also lost their fight to cancer and those that are fighting today.
