My name is Louis Muscato. Being a part of the 11 Day Powerplay last year was such an amazing experience. Even though we got clobbered 99 to 13, the time spent on the ice was the most meaningful 4 hours of sport I’ve ever experienced. Over the past 2 years, this organization has raised over 2.5 MILLION for cancer research. Last year I was able to raise $1,300 by myself, which is so much more than I thought possible. It would be incredible to be able to come close to that number again and I can't do it without YOU

As I said last year, cancer has already affected my life greatly. I hate it. It took my Grandmother, Ada D’Ettorre, from me when I was just 8 years old. My Uncle, Joseph Modica passed away from Leukemia. My Aunts, Louise Muscato & Christine Bolognese are currently battling breast cancer and my Aunt Rachelle D’Ettorre is currently fighting throat cancer. It has also taken close friends from me and my family, and is still wreaking havoc on the people I care about.

This summer, more than 2,500 pairs of skates will hit the ice to play in the 2019 11 Day Power Play Community Shift to help in the fight against cancer! The 11-day game will be played in continuous shifts at Harborcenter in Buffalo, NY. This important event supports The 11 Day Power Play, raising critically-needed funds for cancer research and wellness programs at Roswell Park, Camp Good Days and Make-A-Wish WNY. While it is physically challenging to play in a marathon hockey game, it's a walk in the park compared to what most endure in their battle against cancer. Cancer is a disease that touches everyone, and The 11 Day Power Play wants to make an impact in our community. In the past two years, The 11 Day Power Play has raised nearly $2.5 million supporting cancer causes in Western New York.
